Dammit. I love this stuff! Guess I’ll have to put all my faith in Emergen-C now.
Maybe this is old news to some, but a friend just passed me Arthur Kade’s blog and, wow, this is really amazing:
I was running around saying hello to everyone, trying to find my friends, taking fan pictures, and getting hit on by random 6’s and 7’s who thought that somehow they could talk to me…
…If another girl comes up to me and asks me to rate them or tell them what they should do to make themselves hotter, I may explode or start charging them, because almost any girl will cry if I tell them their score (Even though they all say they won’t), and in that environment where charity is involved, I didn’t want any bad feelings.
If you are a 9 or 10, then trust me, I will let you know it, otherwise if you ask me then be ready because I am going to be honest, although certain hot girls are now scared to hang out with me because of the rating scale and the blog.
This can’t possibly be real, can it!? I’m hooked.
Sent to me by a kickball teammate. :)

You know, I love a good passive-aggressive letter… Brings me back to my childhood.
Thanks to the youngin’ for the find.
Best (only?) martini & manicure for $10 now in Brooklyn! (via Gothamist)
Possilbe Norstroms Rack moving into Union Square in place of the Virgin Megastore that recently lost its lease.
I’m still in constant disbelief that this city doesn’t have a Nordstroms… its probably the only thing New York doesn’t have… and one of the only things I miss about Seattle (besides the beer—and you, Nuclear Toast).
Hey, a Nordstroms Rack is better than nothing.
I happened upon this show at midnight on NYC TV (aka a channel I never knew existed) while I was winding down after kickball last night. It was a Ladyhawke video (they still make videos??) that caught my attention, but it was the old ladies they interviewd about the video that kept it (“she says Paris is burning but there isn’t even a single reference to Paris in this video! I hated it”). Passion Pit, Of Montreal and Little Joy videos followed. Was I already asleep and dreaming?! I finally drifted off to a Blondie video from 1976. Definitely catching this show again!
Sign the petetion to urge our senators to vote against the MTA fare hike (and possibly the end of 24 hr train service)!
This fun show that was initially available online is getting a spot on IFC. As a lover of both food and music, I always enjoyed watching the chef-musician interactions in the laid-back lofty atmosphere. Should be a good addition to my DVR!
And here’s the Dialy News’ take on it:

If you like changing your wallpaper often (or are tired of using your own photos), you may enjoy this collection of high res images. Me—I’m just happy to finally have a computer where hi res actually means something.
Thanks to Toast for the share! I’ve been enjoying it!
3 shows in the next couple months at Joe’s Pub.
GOING!!
A concert reading of THE LAST GOODBYE
An adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet by Michael Kimmel With music and musical compositions by Jeff Buckley with the permission of The Estate of Jeff Buckley
“It’s never over. My kingdom for a kiss upon her shoulder.” - Jeff Buckley
Created hundreds of years apart, the timeless work of two of history’s great poets collide in this visceral and moving world premiere theatrical event. Part rock concert, part Elizabethan verse, part 21st century musical, The Last Goodbye features a cast of fourteen extraordinary young, up-and-coming actor-singers. Told through Jeff Buckley’s daring and soulful music, William Shakespeare’s romantic and violent tragedy is new yet again.
